Hi all my foodies! It’s CiCi. I can’t be more proud to say that I’m a mother of two healthy and beautiful babies. But as you know, having kids are not easy. I hardly have any time anymore. So what I cook for dinner are mostly something that I can cook in no time, and healthy at the same time. I’m going to show you how to cook fried rice in a rice cooker.

1 cup short-grained rice
1 cup water
Other ingredients:
1 small tomato
1/2 orange bell pepper, dice into 1/3-inch cubes
1/2 yellow bell pepper, dice into 1/3-inch cubes
2 Chinese celery stalks, thinly sliced
3 shiitake mushrooms, dice into 1/3 inch cubes
1/4 onion, dice into 1/3-inch cubes
3 oz ham steak, dice into 1/3-inch cubes
1 tablespoon cilantro stems, minced
2 stalk scallions, the green part, minced
Sauce:
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
Pinch of salt
Pinch of white pepper
Pinch of sugar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
First dice the ingredients: orange bell pepper, yellow bell, Chinese celery, Shiitake mushrooms, onion, ham.
Then mince the cilantro, and scallions.
To make the sauce, add oyster sauce, soy sauce, salt, white pepper, sugar, and sesame oil. Mix well.
To make the rice, add rice into the rice cooker, rinse it in water, throw away the water, then add 1 cup of water.
Transfer in the tomato in the middle of the rice. Add in the rest of the ingredients: orange bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, celery, Shiitake mushrooms, onion, ham, and cilantro stems.
Cover the rice cooker. Use the rice setting and press cook. Wait until done.
Uncover the rice cooker and pour in the sauce. Mix well. Serve!
